Cardinals Win Sixth Straight

HAMILTON – Enrique Saldana fanned six and allowed an unearned run to lead the Hamilton Cardinals to a 5-1 home win Thursday over London.  


Saldana (2-2) scattered four hits and walked one as the Cards (15-12) recorded their sixth straight victory.  


Hamilton leadoff hitter Carlos Dominguez went 4-for-4 with two runs and three steals. Jommer Hernandez hit a two-run double in the Cards’ four-run sixth inning. Brandon Nicoll had two hits and an RBI, while Tyler Duncan and Tanner Rempel each drove in a run.  


Francisco Fajardo and Champ Garner had two hits apiece for the Majors (17-11).  


Victor Payano (3-2) struck out 13 over seven frames to take the loss. He allowed five runs on nine hits and didn’t issue a walk.
