Cardinals Launch 5 Home Runs in 15-2 Victory Over London

HAMILTON – Five Hamilton hitters went deep in the Cardinals’ 15-2 home win over London on Sunday afternoon. 


Yolki Pena went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in the victory. Carlos Dominguez hit a solo home run, while Brandon Nicoll, Tommy Reyes-Cruz and Jaden Brown all connected on two-run blasts, Tyler Duncan had two hits and an RBI, Russell Young drove in a run, and Luis Bernardo singled twice and added an RBI.


Caleb Seroski (1-0) recorded four outs in relief to earn the win on the mound. He took over from starter Enrique Saldana, who allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits over 4.2 innings. He walked three and fanned four. Hamilton improved to 10-12.


Toby Simmons led the Majors (14-10) with three hits, an RBI and two steals. Eduardo De Oleo drove in the other one, and Brad Verhoeven singled twice.


Jose Arias (2-2) took the loss after giving up eight runs on nine hits in 4.2 innings. He walked one and struck out two.
