Cardinals Sign Former Milwaukee Brewers Prospect Freisis Adames

The Hamilton Cardinals are pleased to announce the signing of right-handed pitcher Freisis Adames, a former Milwaukee Brewers prospect.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 175 pounds, Adames hails from Las Matas de Farfán in the Dominican Republic. He began his professional career with the Brewers organization in 2015 and progressed through their minor league system over several seasons.

During his time in the minors, Adames made 90 appearances, including 36 starts, compiling an 18–13 record with a 4.05 ERA. Over 311.1 innings pitched, he struck out 295 batters and maintained a WHIP of 1.28 .

In 2023, Adames continued his career in the independent Frontier League, where he pitched 54.1 innings, recording 59 strikeouts and achieving a 4.47 ERA .
