Cardinals Sign Former Mets Prospect Carlos Dominguez For The 2025 Season

The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce the signing of outfielder Carlos Domínguez for the 2025 season.

A native of San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic, Domínguez is a right-handed hitting outfielder who began his professional career in 2018 after signing a minor league contract with the New York Mets organization. He made his debut in 2019 with the Dominican Summer League Mets, where he recorded an impressive .266/.383/.464 slash line and stole 15 bases over 59 games.

In 2021, Domínguez played rookie ball for the Florida Complex League Mets and continued to display his offensive potential, slashing .262/.348/.531 with 10 home runs in just 46 games.

The following year, he was promoted to Single-A St. Lucie, where he played 111 games and achieved a 20 home run/20 stolen base season—highlighting his combination of power and speed. In 2023, Domínguez returned to St. Lucie for 42 games before earning a promotion to High-A Brooklyn, where he notched 3 hits in 11 at-bats over 3 games.

Most recently, in 2024, Domínguez suited up for Arroceros Béisbol Club in Liga Nacional de Béisbol de Verano (LNBV)—a Dominican professional summer league. He posted a strong .308/.400/.558 slash line across 16 games.
