Cardinals Lose To Chatham Friday Night

HAMILTON – Sadler Goodwin went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Chatham-Kent's 5-1 win Friday night in Hamilton.  


Victor Plaz singled three times and drove in two, Spencer Morin and Mitsuki Fukada had two hits apiece, and Evan Morrison went 3-for-4 and stole two bases.  


On the mound, Yuri Yokoyama (5-1) allowed a run on three hits in 5.2 innings. He walked three and fanned five.  


Carlos Dominguez accounted for the Cardinals’ offence with a solo home run to lead off the bottom of the first. Tanner Rempel singled and doubled. 

 

Enrique Saldana (3-3) took the loss after giving up three runs (two earned) on eight hits in six innings. He walked one and struck out six. 


Chatham-Kent improved to 21-17, and Hamilton dropped to 18-18 in a potential first-round playoff matchup.
